Once this announcement was made, McGregor and Alvarez both plunged head first into their training camps, each sharpening their weapons for the unique challenges the other presents. Several weeks later, McGregor has now apparently wrapped up that training camp, which occured primarily in Ireland. Hell now make an imminent departure for to Manhattan, New York; the battleground for his upcoming skirmish with Alvarez.

This report comes from Mike Bohn of MMAJunkie.com.

With his training camp squared away, McGregors focus will now shift to keeping his tools sharp and his mind focused, and eventually, getting his weight down to 155 pounds, where the bout is to be contested. Once he as accomplished this latter feat, the only challenge left will be the battle itself.

If McGregor successfully wrests the title from the waist of Eddie Alvarez, hell become the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles in two weight classes in tandem. If he loses, meanwhile, his mountainous hype will take a massive blow. Regardless of the outcome of the fight, McGregor will apparently take some timeto spend time with family and focus on his relationships. What this hiatus will mean for his reign as the UFC featherweight champ and possible lightweight champ remains to be seen.

The first will pair welterweight champion Tyron Woodley with streaking challenger Stephen Wonderboy Thompson. The second will see strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczykattempt to defend her title for a fourth time opposite fellow undefeated Polish striker Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

The main card will also feature a middleweight bout between former champ Chris Weidman and Olympic silver medalist Yoel Romero, a welterweight showdown between fan favorite gunslinger Donald Cowboy Cerrone and TUF 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum, and a bantamweight battle between recent champion Miesha Tate and former TUF competitor Raquel Pennington.

It all goes down on November 12 inside New York Citys hallowed Madison Square Garden. Do you think McGregor will leave the Garden with a new belt slung over his shoulder? Sound off, PENN Nation!
