They’ve missed the postseason for seven straight seasons since then, and haven’t even been able to finish a regular season with more than 95 points in the standings.

The Stone Builders Rejected

Carolina has been caught in a perpetual rebuild for quite some time now, though they have helped the process in recent years by finishing in the bottom 10 of the league from 2013-14 to 2015-16 (and earning a high draft pick in the process).

That’s three straight years of at least one top-10 draft pick, and several other years of picking in the top 15. As a result, the Hurricanes have a notable amount of high-end talent, and it appears as though their rebuild will be ending soon.
