Alex Hornibrook Injury: Updates on Wisconsin QB’s Possible Concussion and Return

Updates onHornibrook’s Playing Status Monday, Nov. 28
Hornibrook is questionable for Saturday’s Big Ten title game against Penn State with a head injury, according toESPN CollegeFootball.
“I know he got on the bike (Sunday) and did some things and said he felt good,” Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst said Sunday, perAlex Puttermanof Land of 10. “Well probably just take it day by day there.”
Chryst added that Hornibrook is “feeling a lot better than he did yesterday.”
Hornibrook, a freshman, has thrown for 1,243 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions this season andtook over as the starter in the fourth game of the season. Wisconsin has utilized both of its quarterbacks throughout the season, however, and Hornibrook has shared quarterbacking duties with Bart Houston.
Houston, a senior, has thrown for 912 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions. If he is forced into starting duties against Penn State, he won’t be stepping into the role with any rust given his usage throughout the season.
Whoever ultimately starts will be facing a solid Penn State defense that is ranked 30th in both passing yards allowed per game on the season (200.5) and points per contest (22.8), with both a Click Here Big Ten title and potentially a berth in the College Football Playoff on the line.
